Emanuel Zareh joined 1789 Capital as a Partner following a career focused on leading investment strategies across public and private markets for institutional hedge funds and family offices. He has a proven track record across global capital markets, venture capital, and multi-asset portfolio construction.
At 1789, Emanuel focuses on investment origination, diligence, selection, and portfolio construction.
Before joining the firm, he held senior investment roles at institutional multi-billion-dollar funds, overseeing due diligence, deal structuring, and strategic allocation across sectors and capital structures. He also managed a seed-stage venture fund with a diversified global mandate. Most recently, he served as a Presidential Appointee at the U.S. Department of Commerce, participating in tariff negotiations, contributing to the Administration’s AI export executive order, and engaging in commercial diplomacy in the Middle East. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and collaborated with League executives and franchise owners on strategic initiatives at the National Football League.
He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA, summa cum laude, from Colgate University.
